Season 2 Episode Guide

2.1 Saigon (Part 1) Bravo Co. is transferred to the Tan San Nhut Base near Saigon. Zeke and Goldman find one of their men in an opium den, where they meet a female reporter, Alex Devlin, and her chopper pilot, Lt Johnny McKay.

2.2 Saigon (Part 2) As Goldman begins a relationship with Alex, Purcell becomes fed up with the war and Ruiz is convinced that he is going to die. Johnson an dTaylor check on a soldier, who may be faking his death.

2.3 For What it's Worth Zeke goes to the hospital and ends up saving the life of psychiatrist Jennifer Seymour. But his budding relationship with Seymour is affected when he betrays her confidence in order to clear Taylor of a crime.

2.4 True Grit Against Seymour's wishes, a soldier who has suffered a breakdown is sent back to the front and almost gets himself killed. Johnson meets up with Linkg, who says she is pregnant with his child.

2.5 Non-Essential Personnel McKay picks up the squad in his chopper, but while rushing them back, Major Darling sends him after some VC. When Darling refuses McKay's request to fly back with the wounded, McKay does it anyway and is grounded.

2.6 Sleeping Dogs Zeke runs into a sniper, Sgt. Greg Black (gues star Michael Madsen), and realizes he is a warmonger near the breaking point. He starts to plot a way to get Black sent home, bt in doing so, inadvertantly causes Purcell to get lost in the jungle.

2.7 I Wish it Would Rain The Americans follow the VC to a stream that marks the edge of Cambodia, a border they are forbidden to cross. When a soldeir crosses the stream to go after the VC, the GIs have no choice but to follow him.

2.8 Popular Forces Bravo Co. is assigned to take a group of peasant soldiers out into the field, though they prove to be useless against a VC ambush. Alex tells Goldman she is accompanying McKay to a remote village for a story. Once there, Alex asks McKay to leave and she ends up in danger.

2.9 Terms of Enlistment Zeke plans rest and relaxation in Tokyo with Jennifer, but the plans go awry when she is offered a teaching post back in the States. Meanwhile, while making her decision, she helps a gay soldier who is being blackmailed, but at the cost of her own career.

2.10 Nightmare Purcell saves a female Quaker from being raped and is charged with manslaughter, but her religious beliefs will not allow her to testify on his behalf.

2.11 Promised Land Zeke accompanies a black soldier's body back to the States, only to run into racial problems with the soldier's family after martin Luther King's assassination.

2.12 Lonesome Cowboy Blues Alex goes on a mission to find the only contact the Special Forces have, a village information. They run into a kid who is accused of being th einformant, but Alex uncovers the real spy.

2.13 sins of the Father After killing a female sniper in self-defense, Zeke quesitons his actions, but then meets Crhistine Pierson, a teacher sent to help educate the GIs. In the meantime, prostitutes are being murdered in Saigon, and Alex goes after the story, suspecting a high-raking officer's son.

2.14 Sealed With a Kiss Christine sets up classes and convinces Zeke to attend. Alex tells Goldman she is dating an intelligence offer in an attempt to get Goldmna a job off the front line.

2.15 Hard Stripe The unit comes across Zeke's friend, CIA recruiter Jim doyle (gues star James Purcell), who has taken possession of Russian-made rifles. Goldman realizes too late that they have been used by Doyle, and the company is ambushed.

2.16 Volunteer Zeke meets Ben Sweet (guest star Malcolm Jamal-Warner) and agrees to help Sweet get into fighting, but the results are disastrous. Taylor romances a Lt Patterson (guest star Angela Bassett), who is investigating theft. Zeke and Goldman get trapped during a recon mission and are taken prisoner.
