The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO or LotRO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game for Windows set in J.R.R Tolkien's Middle-Earth universe. The game takes place during the time period of of The Lord of the Rings.

You choose your character from four races and nine classes, inspired by famous characters from the books such as Bilbo Baggins, Gimli, Elrond and others. In your efforts against the Shadow growing in the East, you’ll meet all those extraordinary heroes, and many
others, and be given tasks by them to support Frodo’s mission, quest, thing.
With a consistently updated storyline by way of installments called ‘books’, LotRO brings Middle-earth into vivid and spectacular detail.
